"I became a Freemason in 1994 and was the Lodge Worshipful Master in 2004.
I thoroughly enjoy being involved with the general duties assigned to me in my current role of the Mentor of the Lodge which is a relatively new position in Freemasonry. I have been fortunate enough to carry out other roles within the Lodge which have been very rewarding".

Eight years later, I'm delighted that the brethren have chosen me to become their next Worshipful Master".

“Having had attended a number of the Hundred of Axstane’s Ladies Festivals and other social events, I got to know several of the Brethren. Therefore joining a group of like minded people seemed like the natural thing to do.

I joined freemasonry because of the opportunity to broaden my social circles by meeting new people. Also it's an easy way if getting involved in charity work. And because I'm scared of my father-in-law.
Among our members, we have numerous distinguished brethren , including:
Grand Rank – Past Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies
Provincial Rank – Past Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies.
The reason I joined Freemasonry?
Difficult thing to answer for me as I didn’t do any research before joining! My father was a Freemason and I had been invited to his lodges ladies festivals before coming a member. Upon joining I realised that it opened a world of things for me. Camaraderie was without a doubt the thing that struck me the most immediately.
Walking into a room as a stranger and leaving having just gained lots of new friends, incredible. The power of Freemasonry raising such a large amount of money for good causes and the enjoyment of social events.
Take Freemasonry away from me now and there would be a huge gap in my life to fill.
I had read some good things about freemasons, but I personally did know any, so after using GOOGLE, I came across the Provincial West Kent website.
I submitted an enquiry, then a really helpful guy , put me in touch with Hundred of Axstane, after a few informal meetings, I eagerly joined 'the club'.
